Blue Flags will be flying on 603 Spanish beaches and ports this summer, keeping Spain in first position amongst the 36 countries of the northern hemisphere which take part in the program. It is two less than in 2010, as ten beaches have lost their flags and eight new ones have been awarded to Spanish ports. Andalucía is the top region in the country, with 112 kilometres of beaches covered by the distinction.
