	Happy New Year from us at Pure Property. 2013 starts with news that home sales on the Costa Blanca South are rising for the fifth consecutive quarter. 

	Daily, 15 homes in the region are sold. With Torrevieja as the main centre of activity.

	At the same time comes news of the updated price drop stats. On average, prices fell in Spain with 6.9 percent in 2012. Good news for sunbathers - many of whom are Northern Europeans, now appear to be very active in the holiday property market again.

	According to the organization Procosta, it is particularly the Costa Blanca South with Guardamar, Torrevieja, Orihuela Costa and Pilar de la Horadada being the most popular .

	Growth in activity during the last quarter was 8 percent.

	For Norwegians it is an added bonus that the level of the euro remains low. The ending of  2012 and in 2013 the euro is steady around 7.30 against the Norwegian krone.

	Recent figures from the Ministerio de Fomento in Spain show that Alicante is still a favorite place for foreigners. During the first nine months of 2012 2501 homes is sold to foreign buyers, more than anywhere else in Spain.

	 

	The distance to the next provinces on the list is huge, with Malaga (1,111) in second place, followed by Barcelona (692), Balearic Islands (605) and Girona (586).

	 

	The sale of real estate to foreigners in Spain increases for fifth month in Council. In the first three quarters, it listed a total of 8,803 transactions, an increase of 18% compared to last year.
